About Me

James Caspian BA(Hons), ADHP, MNRHP, UKCP.

I  am qualified by the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy with an Advanced Diploma in hypnosis and psychotherapy and am a member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (www.nrhp.co.uk), and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (www.psychotherapy.org.uk)  I have practices in East Sussex – in St Leonards, Battle and Rye , and also see clients in Central London, in Wimpole Street W1.

I have a person-centred approach, which means that I respond to each person I see individually, and have also trained in metaphysics, which incorporates a spiritual perspective on how we create our reality, and how we can change that to live in a more whole, joyful way. I am currently undertaking a foundation year in Jungian Analytical Psychology with the Guild of Analytical Psychologists.

In addition I specialise in counselling people with issues around gender identity, and am a Trustee of the Beaumont Trust, a charity which educates and informs on all aspects of gender expression. I also deliver trainings for organisations, therapists and counsellors on transgender awareness.

I have for many years worked within drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and have worked extensively with issues around addiction and substance abuse.

I see people on both a short and longer term basis.
